Effective infection control procedures have always been a foundational key in keeping our patients and team members safe and healthy. Since COVID-19, we’ve increased our infection control practices to include additional measures that meet and exceed ADA guidelines.
✅ Patient Screening:
All patients are asked a series of simple questions to determine that the patients coming to the office are healthy and not presenting a risk to themselves, our patients or our team.
✅ Upon arrival we will be taking the temperature of all patients.
✅ Hand sanitizer is provided and encouraged upon arrival and throughout your visit.
✅ Social Distancing Measures:
Patients are asked to wait in their cars upon arrival to decrease the amount of traffic in our waiting area. We have positioned all chairs in the waiting room 6ft apart in support of social distancing recommendations.
✅ All magazines and children’s toys have been removed from our waiting area to decrease the risk of infection.
✅ Spaced out appointments:
We are scheduling extra time in order to avoid use of our reception area. We will be addressing as many dental issues as possible at each visit to maximize your time. Our goal is thorough care with fewer visits.
✅ Office Disinfection:
All contact surfaces are cleaned daily and between each patient. We use Z3, a hospital grade surface disinfectant. This product meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.
✅ Our office has exceeded ADA standards by installing a UV disinfection system in the office’s HVAC that delivers UV light to penetrate pathogen cell walls and render them unable to replicate. This UV system delivers measurable doses needed to kill pathogens such as the coronavirus.
✅ Personal Protective Equipment:
Our team is fully equipped with all of the latest PPE necessary to preserve the healthiest and safest clinical environment. To decrease exposure risk our front office will greet you behind a clear plexiglass barrier. All team members have N95 masks and effective face and eye protection.
✅ While not mandated, patient face coverings/masks are recommended while not in the treatment areas.
✅ COVID Testing of Staff:
To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, our team has been preventatively tested for Coronavirus.
✅ Training:
Our entire team has undergone training regarding the new protocols developed by the ADA. We are fully prepared to see our patients in the safest dental environment possible and feel we can confidently deliver care to our patients.
